A holiday in Italy.
May 28th, 2012
The day after my first wedding of the year, Jessica and I flew off to Lucca which is in Italy.
We had the most amazing and relaxing time. The weather was beautiful, the people are incredible, the food was extra special all the time and the scenery was breathtaking all the time.
Since we’ve returned, we’ve recommended the city of Lucca to everyone that we’ve spoken to about it and here I am now recommending it to you.
Just go.
We visited the city of Florence which is a world heritage site (well deserved too) and also Pisa which was… not our cup of tea. Still, it’s a fun place to people-watch, as is the whole country really. I loved feeding my street photography addiction over there.
On day one (don’t worry, I don’t plan on giving a day by day account of our holiday)…I had already decided that I’d love to move out there, like straight away.
I’m quite fortunate with my job that I could do it in any country and still be able to do a good job. Obviously an understanding of the language would help significantly.
Perhaps one day we’ll live there!
You have to be quite careful though because when you’re on holiday, the endorphins are pumping around your brain a fair amount and it makes everything look and feel more magical than what it probably was, that’s not to say that I wasn’t loving those brain-chemicals! Even a trip to the supermarket to pick up picnic supplies was super fun…!
Anyway, enjoy these pictures. Hopefully these pictures will inspire you to visit.
These are absolutely incredible. Jess looks stunning as well. :) x
