Wedding! David and Jodie in Leicestershire

May 31st, 2010

A few weekends ago, I shot the amazing wedding of David and Jodie.
Lovely couple.
Here's a bit of a pop fact for you here; David's last name is Maggio. Jodie's last name was Bass, but she loves Marilyn Monroe....who married Joe DiMaggio. Jodie's name is now Jodie Maggio!
 Bingo!

David and Jodie's wedding was incredible, I've never seen so many amazing details. So much effort was put into making everything look right, from the button holes to the table decorations.
They were married at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Hinckley. Not the easiest place to shoot in as the majority of light is from fluorescent bulbs. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure I'll survive. One of my earlier couples were also married here.
We moved on to a friends house for the formal pictures and drinks. Such a beautiful house, a whole wedding could easily be held there!
After the formals, we then moved onto the Poachers Bistro in a tiny village called Thurlaston.
The room for the reception had been decorated in an incredible manor. Jodie's and David's personality really shone through!

Thank you David and Jodie, you were awesome!

Enjoy these pictures from their wedding in Leicestershire!

Peacock feathers with scrabble pieces for the groomsmen. Get in!

It made my job easier remembering everybody's name...Derrick...Dennis...Desmond...DAVID! That's the one!

Hello cheeky!

Will demonstrates his wimbledon lines-man skills. Very good.

Here's our groom!

Jodie looked incredible.

A few last checks.

We await with bated breath

David can't believe his eyes!

Barnaby looks great in this picture...just making sure the ring is on properly!

Married!!

Check out all the flowers and details at their reception. They were everywhere. Sorry, everywhere!

That's a contented looking groom right there!

Jodie Maggio thinks that josephyarrow.com is great!

This here was the man who landed the official title of "The Heckler"

Let the speeches begin!

Roy...Robert..... RYAN! gave a great Best Man's speech.

And Bridesmaid Hannah sang a beautiful song to a tune that I had never heard before because she had composed it herself....or so I've been told to say anyway.

This here was something that really makes my job extra special. Not only do I get to be with great people on a very important day in their life, but I also get to share in some extra special events.
During the bridesmaids and ushers shots, a friend received a picture message from a close friend of their very new born baby!

And they went nuts!

A video message was immediately sent! Gotta love technology!

I was later contacted by Abi to let me know that the new Mum Jess, didn't have the best of times in hospital, so our thoughts are with her!

The other best man whose name I can't see, sorry, remember. (Just joking Will)

Let the wild rumpus start!!

I hope you enjoyed!
I hope you can tell from these pictures that I had a great time shooting this wedding, it was a feast for the eyes!
Jodie and David thank you so much for choosing me. You, your family and friends made me so welcome and it was great to make some new friends.

Fluorescent lighting; I feel your pain Joseph! Still, black & white always looks classy :~) The details in this wedding are beautiful; I've never seen anything quite like the buttonholes. Your reportage is rocking on with great gusto.

Joe, if you had an older brother called Phil I'm sure he'd be very proud of your incredible finite eye for detail, your skill in timing alongside moulding moments around your counterpart, lighting.
