Wedding! Mark and Amy at Priston Mill, Bath.

Monday, May 10th, 2010

Thanks for coming and checking out the blog.
I appreciate it.

Right then, Mark and Amy got married a couple of weeks ago! Congratulations guys!

A beautiful couple as you will either soon realise, or you already knew because you're one of their lucky close friends, or you've been good and you're a regular reader of the blog!
Mark is a design engineer at Dyson, a company who have done incredibly well and are now a household name, Amy is a lawyer in the city. Not gonna mess with Amy!
I met with Mark and Amy several months ago, they were on the look out for a photographer and found me on the WPJA website.
I know that when a couple finds me through the WPJA I still need to do my best to sell myself but being associated with that organisation certainly takes out a lot of the hard work. Couples know what standard of images to expect.
I liked Mark and Amy straight away.

They booked me and we arranged a photoshoot in the city. Take a look at the pictures if you've not seen them yet.

When they got married a couple of weeks ago, it was beautiful weather! Infact, it was perfect!

Amy got ready at Conygre Mews in Bath; just 10 minutes drive from Priston Mill.
I was thrilled to find that Amy and her girls were the first bridal party to ever get ready there.
It was a really beautiful cottage lovingly restored and the owners showed their faces too; super nice people! Thank you.

Before you enjoy the pictures (or maybe after, thats your prerogative)...check out the special flipbook of the ceremony that Jessica and myself produced. It's just a bit of fun!

Amazing bouquets by Natalie Anne.
Amy's bridesmaids were brilliant! Well done girls.
Here's the man of the hour with Nicola.
I love shooting people's hands. They really are story tellers!
Disclaimer: This is not the Bride, no. But this little girl was the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Mark's best men keep an eye on him.

Amy's hands are tiny! I really like this picture.
Again with the hands...look at Marks! And notice how Ben, Marks younger brother is keeping an eye on him.
Amy's Brother was so proud to give her away.
I'll have to find out the name of the gentleman giving the ceremony, but he was hands down the nicest man for the job.
One of Mark and Amy's friends gave a reading of a slightly adapted version of "A Lovely Love Story" by Edward Monkton. (google it)
Did Mark only just realise how tiny Amy's hands were? I don't know, but I love this picture.
Congratulations!!

Mark and one of his friends practise their secret handshake. Word!
I love me a good veil!
Thanks for being a great bridesmaid Nicola, and for keeping me busy during the wedding breakfast. You are one funny girl!
I'm just going to let you sit and watch this for a moment. Don't leave it too long though, I don't want your screen saver coming on and spoiling the mood.
Mark is a real smiler!

Mark gets some brotherly love!

Speeches!

Oh, this was just disgusting. Apparently, this dirty little creation was taken everywhere on Marks stag holiday. By the look on Mark's face, he doesn't find it as repulsive as what Amy does. Bless.
"You seriously want to name our first-born E.T.?"
Isn't Mark a super handsome groom? And I think Mark will agree with me that Amy looks incredible!
With Mark and Amy's engagement pictures, we put together a guest book, and by the looks of it, it went down very well!

What a wedding!
Thank you so much for choosing me to be with you almost all day. You and your guests made me feel so welcome, I actually felt a little sad leaving.
Enjoy your lives together guys!

Engagement Shoot! Ed and Lucy in Bath

Monday, April 19th, 2010

Brilliant!

This couple here are Ed and his lady, Lucy and they follow my unusual strain of couples who are so amazing.

Ed and Lucy are getting married in Aberystwyth later this year and want Jessica and myself to cover their wedding and I honestly can't wait!
When we met up at Boston Tea Party, which is my favorite coffee house, we had a general chit chat about what's going on and about how their plans have been coming along.
They really surprised me when they asked me if Jessica and myself would like to join them on the beach the morning after their wedding for a paddle. We are so there!!

These two are the loveliest couple around and we had loads of fun shooting in Bath. (Bath, the city where you can shoot with your lens cap on and still get beautiful shots)

Enjoy!

We were blessed with amazing light!

See?! I'm hilarious!

Such a gentle couple...

Looking at this image now, I really wish I photoshopped that car out on the left! So annoying!

Lucy is leaning against the glass wall of the Bath Thermae Spa which Jessica and myself have been to and it is A-MAZ-ING!

Lucy and Ed really spoilt me! They were the perfect couple to shoot!

And Lucy has such great eyes!

I shot through the heads of a night time tour of Bath, I love the feel of this image!

And finally...

Ed and Lucy, honestly, you really spoiled me, I really loved being in your company and when it comes to your wedding, I just can't wait!

Thanks for reading.

Engagement Shoot! Jimmy and Louise in Bath

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Jimmy and Louise are another one of my fantastic couples whose wedding I can't wait to shoot!
As they're not from the local area, Jimmy suggested that we meet up in Bath. At first, that sounded a little strange considering the distance they would of had to drive, but after getting to know them both, it made perfect sense. I concluded that the reason Jimmy chose Bath was that he had never been before! A good enough reason for me!

Louise really compliments Jimmy, she's a smart and sweet girl and goes perfectly with her future husband!
Jimmy likes to explore new places he's never been before, wether he's holding Louise's hand whilst looking for little side streets on holiday, or cycling, or rock climbing! I'm sure Louise will take care of him!

This was my first morning engagement shoot, which was a little odd for me as I usually try to revolve it around sunset. It was very foggy Unfortunately, none of these pictures show the fog as my camera is just too good!! Nah, I joke, there simply wasn't any in the city!
But it was very cold! It could have been worse though, it could of been raining!

Anyway, we had fun. I know I say this all the time, but these engagement shoots are really good fun! I think it's very important to have a little shoot like ours before your wedding day, especially for someone like Louise who doesn't enjoy her picture taken. When her wedding day comes next month, she'll be a natural infront of the camera!
It's also great to just have a little jolly around somewhere you wouldn't usually go and get away from all the wedding pressures!

Enjoy Jimmy and Louise's pictures and remember to look out for their wedding pictures next month! They're getting married at Clearwell Castle which is quickly becoming a regular hangout place. It's the last wedding of the year too!!.... so far!
Enjoy these pictures from our engagement shoot in Bath!

We started off in a location that I've wanted to shoot in forever, and I'm still desperate to go back, but I don't want to spoil the magic of it!

You can really see Jimmy always looking after Louise.

The great things about cities is the diversity of places to shoot, ultra modern graffiti in a city that is now a world heritage site!
Blog-6
They're a really cool couple! Their wedding will be loads of fun!

BIG thanks to Anemone Flowers who let us shoot in their stall for a couple of minutes!

I love the contrast here! Also, Jimmy likes his horror films so he was quite happy. Louise is more of a good book/chick flick girl!

Autumn is such a great time, but it just seems to pass so quickly!

I love this picture of them both though, its a little bit sexy, but very classic too.

This might be the cheesiest shot I've done, but hey! It's all good fun really!

And I'll finish with this sneeky little shot! I love the light in this, and the lines leading up to them!

So thats about it!
We had fun, but in Bath its very easy. It's such a beautiful city. Jessica and myself agreed that it was our favorite city and could easily live there.
Maybe one day hey?!

Remember to look out for Jimmy and Louise's Wedding pictures at Clearwell Castle on the blog soon!
