After shooting in every corner of the country apart from of course Bristol, it was such a pleasure to shoot the Bristol wedding of Joseph and Emma.
We both love discovering new parts of the UK, but being able to have a lie-in on a beautiful day because the ceremony is 1)15 minutes away from my front door and 2) doesn't start till 3, really is one of those things that made me smile from ear to ear!
Clearly, I'm easily pleased.

A lie-in and mid-afternoon wedding with much better lighting conditions are of course obvious reasons as to why that day was so good, but the real reason of course was Joseph and Emma themselves. We met up in December in Clifton and I immediately liked them. Such a charming couple.
Their wedding was one of the most relaxed affairs I've attended.

Of course, it's easy to want a relaxed wedding, but to be well organised with it is so important and often overlooked by couples who just want a wedding without all the fuss. It takes skill to do it right. And I've seen it done wrong!

Jessica again was in control of the flipbook and I think she's done an amazing job here.
There was a little issue at the end where someone accidentally knocked into the tripod.

We've been doing these flipbooks at the majority of our recent weddings and they seem to go down so well, all our couples can't wait for us to flipbook their wedding!

I'll go on and on about the wedding in my next post about them. So meanwhile, please just enjoy our flipbook.

I hope you're all having a great bank holiday weekend!

Last weekend I shot a wedding on another absolutely beautiful day just outside Bath. At one point I actually rolled up my sleeves; partly because I was a little warm, but mostly because I wanted to show what a rock and roll photographer I am. It's just how I roll.

Mark and Amy really couldn't of had a better day, Priston Mill really is the best place around for a luxury wedding with a relaxed feel.
Being just 45 minutes away from home, I can't begin to tell you how great it is to be in bed not too long after taking your last picture of the night...nay, weekend!

I think that's enough moaning from me about how I shot 24 hours at the weekend, I won't mention it again!
Today's teaser is another wedding flipbook created by Jessica.

We aimed to shoot one at Owen and Jane's Wedding but unfortunately I forgot the tripod. Sorry guys!
Although this is only our second attempt at a guestbook, I think this is the best by far. But of course, it's Mark and Amy's friends and family who make the video.
If you've got time, watch it a couple of times because I can guarantee that you'll notice something new each time. We've watched it countless times, I'm surprised the video hasn't gone viral yet!

We'll do these videos a couple more times just to make sure we're doing everything right before we offer them as a little something extra for our couples to enjoy. After all, the Bride is the last to arrive and the first to leave, so she misses out on all the action. It's nice for her to see every little detail.

Enjoy it!

On the way back from Chris and Victoria's Wedding in Preston, we stopped off at a little hotel in a village called Kinver.
We met up with Adam and Lorna in the hotel where they would be holding their reception.

It was quite a late meet up, considering they were getting married just three weeks later.
This was the first time that we had met, and they also happened to be the first couple to find me through facebook. (Lorna went to school with one of my future grooms who I had tagged on facebook).

We had the usual chat about their day and about how they met and then, something dawned upon me and I hope that nobody takes offence at this.
Adam and Lorna are almost exactly like the majority of my other couples.

That's not a bad thing, in fact it made me feel fantastic!
It meant that other than taking pictures that appeal to people, I'm doing something that is attracting the same "type" of people to me.
It just so happens that the people that I am attracting enough for them to book me, are the funniest, smartest, relaxed, in love and down to earth couples ever.
I don't know what it is that I'm doing, so I'll just stick to what I'm doing in the hopes that I continue to work with the worlds best Brides and Grooms.

I find that a little strange, but in no way am I fighting it.
So, to my future couples who have booked me; Thank you! (times a million)
And to couples who haven't booked me yet; If you've got any doubts about me as a person, I'm probably not the guy for you!

Thanks for reading that, I found it hard to get down in words just because it's not the easiest thing to explain.

So, we tried something a little different for the wedding that I shot for Adam and Lorna on Saturday.
Jessica joined me which was brilliant as she was an incredible asset to me.
She stood at the back of the church and recorded the Flipbook that you'll find below.

This was the perfect remedy for working in a church that allowed very very few pictures to be taken, hence why you don't see me moving around too much. Luckily, we had free reign for the rest of the day!
You'll see more pictures from their brilliant wedding later on in the week.

For Jessica's first attempt, I say she did amazingly! Look out for more Josephyarrow.com Flipbooks!
Well done Jessica.

I've watched this probably about 20 times now, and each time I notice something new!

Enjoy
